Studies and background

Lydia Gerasopoulou studied dentistry at the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln) in Germany, graduating in 1996.

For one year she worked at the university dental clinic, in the emergency department, treating patients daily with pain, injuries and acute problems.

In 2001 she returned to Greece and for two years worked as a dentist at a clinic for people with disabilities. This experience shaped, to a large extent, the way she works: with patience, clear explanations and attention to each person's needs.

Since 2003 she has run her own private dental practice, today at 15 Glafkou Street in Neo Psychiko.

How she works

The dentist provides comprehensive care for her patients' dental needs: prevention, fillings, root canal treatment, gum treatment, prosthetics and cosmetic restorations.

When a case needs more specialised treatment, for example orthodontics or surgery, she works with specialist colleagues. In these cases she explains beforehand who will do what, so that you have a full picture of your treatment.

Her particular scientific interest is the conservative restoration of teeth with composite resin, veneers and inlays, as well as whitening. Her preference is to preserve as much healthy tooth tissue as possible.

Patients who feel anxious

Many people come to the dentist with fear, often because of a past unpleasant experience. The dentist takes time with this: she explains every step before it happens, agrees a signal with you to stop whenever needed, and does not rush. If you feel anxious, tell us on the phone. We can arrange a first appointment just to meet and talk.

Continuing education

She attends conferences and seminars to keep up with developments in dental science.
